In the Meanwhile,
Life happened.
I started building,
the fundamentals of a legal career,
gathering the proper mentors,
to help guide me through,
the throat-slitting,
slaughteroffice politics,
cultivating a truly supportive
social circle,
and learning how to
cleverly manage
my credit rating.
I didn’t know it then,
but I was building
my image and brand.
Mmmmm.
Right. About.
Now!
Psychologically speaking,
my life blew a gasket
at the precise moment
I realized
what all of my choices cost.
I have expensive taste.
I don’t always dress the part,
but I’ve certainly screamed,
“Spare no expense!”
in those moments
where it seemed to matter,
and cost,
the most.
Expert health care.
Tuition.
Surgery.
